part C.11. my body is capable of handling this mess

i lay there a long time watching the sky. somehow calm yet obviously in peril. i had made it to the 'safe' grid and all foes vanquished, but my functions had seen better days. arrows had pierced both wrists, minor cuts really, but they held my arms still. Two strikes to my left leg, one at my shin, which had swollen to about the size of an orange the other, my foot, toes slashed/ filleted and broken,,my torso which had taken eighty percent of that last blow, felt like my ribs were crushing my stomach and my breathing was'nt as deep as i would of liked. all in all though i felt ok.... it had been nearly 42 hrs of rampant struggle. running, fighting, believing i had to make it... for my family. for my love.
